Pranzo: A Review
Don’t particularly enjoy the ambiance and totally hated the food I ate there last weekend. Apart from the Mushroom and Chicken Soup and the Starter Platter, my guests and I were all extremely upset about the food we ate there.
The grilled chicken pasta one of my guests ordered was so soggy with the pasta so limp and the chicken nonexistent that it was a joke. My chicken fillets with the cheese had either yogurt or old cream added to it because it was distinctly sour and finally we ordered Pan Asian chicken which was described as fried chicken with lemon leaf and Pan Asian sauce but came as chunks of chicken with big helpings of onions and capsicum! Since it was inedible we ordered a burger which turned up with a patty so small you could see the bun all around it and the burger bun was stale and chewy.
There was only one redeeming point in this fiasco where I was an extremely embarrassed host. The staff. They were truly apologetic. Tried to make it up to us by ordering us another dish of pasta and taking 15% off the bill and by asking us again and again how they could make it up to us.
I felt sorry for them actually. I didn’t want a discount or a new dish. I just wanted a relatively nice meal with my guests and could see that they were truly upset. So I would give 4 out of 10 to Pranzo and all 4 points go to the cooperative and service oriented staff with nothing going towards food or ambiance.
Don’t go there!

Tvinkal is an idea that is seeded in the mind of our Muse and CEO Jahanara because of a dearth of good reading material pertaining to Pakistanis. An avid reader herself, she felt that most of the Pakistani Blogs were all about either sensationalism or were so deeply monetized that all they offered were advertisements or endorsements of different brands.
There isn’t a single Pakistani Lifestyle Blog that talks about the real life interests of Pakistanis especially the women. Be it Fashion, Trends, Street Style, Cooking, Shopping, Upcoming Events, Movie Reviews or a take on the International Scene, we just never get to read a Pakistanis Perspective.
And that is how Tvinkal came about!
