The home of the Twin Towers! And what a gorgeous sight is that!
I had the good luck of being sent on a three week training to Kuala Lumpur a couple of years back.
Arriving late at night after a grueling connection, I was ready to doze off in the cab after showing the Cabbie my hotel
reservation. Since the airport is out of the city I had a long drive back and was constantly kept from nodding off by a
happy chattering cabbie who was super excited at meeting someone from Pakistan. Like almost all the wonderful
Malaysians I had the chance of meeting he soon made me forget my exhaustion and we were happily trading life
stories. Stopped at a light he all of a sudden turned around and asked me to look out of the window. And it was the
most Oh My God Moment I have had in a long long time!
Right outside my cab window was the most spectacular scene imaginable. Even though I am a frequent traveler to
Dubai and have grown pretty nonchalant about mile high buildings but I was absolutely awed by the sheer beauty of
the twin towers.
Luckily for me I was booked at the concord which afforded me a view of the same throughout my stay in KL.
Even luckier for me was the spectacular Suria KLCC Mall under the twins which became my second home.
With constant and great sales it afforded an awesome shopping experience for me in KL.
My trip to Malaysia also included a weekend at Genting Highlands which had the most amazing mountains and a
great theme park.
The people of Malaysia are fun, open and extremely hospitable. The fact that it’s a Muslim Country with a relatively
open culture makes Malaysia the ideal vacation spot.
