Dinner in the Sky!
When I received an invite to come explore the concept of Dinner in Sky which is being brought to
Pakistan I thought oh another penthouse restaurant and since I enjoy them my attendance was sure shot.
Well was I in for a big surprise or what! Turns out that Dinner in the
Sky is a table suspended 500 meters above ground with 12 people
and a sumptuous meal and Pakistan is the sixtieth country to
be welcoming this franchise!
The initial showcasing and debriefing was done at Marriot and the
video played was sensational!
Wow.
Simply a Wow and intriguing and adventurous idea.
And of course a great way to celebrate if
a couple or a family is into dynamic outdoorsy kinda activities!
It seems the company bringing the franchise to Pakistan hasn’t decided on where they will place the
table and the actual menu as they are still in the planning stages. However a great thing is that the
opportunity to dine will be available multiple times a day which means less of a waiting list and that
is heartening to know.
The Belgian guy who actually started this entire concept Stefan
Joan had flown in to Pakistan
especially to brief the media and to answer any inquiries on the
entire experience and its history!
Must say the guy slayed, not just because of his good humored
briefing alone but because of the
Pakistan Zindabad he added to the end!
He along with his Technical Head Fredericus Christianus seemed pretty excited to be in Pakistan
and I at least loved loved loved that enthusiasm!
Anyway the unfortunate news is that we won’t be dinning in the sky
till the end of the year yet
which is sad!
But I guess you have to wait for some of the better experiences in
life!
Here’s to hoping that we see this happening soon!
Karachi will be livelier with this addition most certainly!
